November 7, 2008: John participated in the Fall '08 Executive Career Coaching series at Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business. John met with graduate students requesting guidance on such issues as: resume writing/personal branding, pro-active job search strategies, interview preparation and mapping a professional development plan.
October 10, 2008: John served as a career expert at the 2008 Conference & Career Expo for the the National Society of Hispanic MBAs held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. John met with MBA students and alumni from universities across the country, to provide feedback on resume writing, job search techniques and interview preparation.
September, 2008: John is included in the national directory of Career Experts at Women for Hire, the leading provider of career advancement services for professional women nationwide. Tory Johnson, founder and CEO of Women for Hire is also the Workplace Contributor on ABC’s Good Morning America.

July, 2008: Atlanta Magazine. John is quoted in the July 2008 edition of Atlanta magazine. Here is an excerp from the article entitled, Love The One You're With - The most wonderful cubicle in the world might just be your own, by Rachel Pomerance. "Enrolling in executive training is another way to stave off tedium. 'That's an area I think a lot of people ignore,' says career coach John Long. 'They don't seek continuing professional development in the form of seminars and conferences and workshops that will keep them engaged in the field that they are in and keep them in touch with the latest and greatest information [that would allow] them to advance in their career.' April 5, 2008: John was a featured speaker at Georgia State University's Career Strategies Workshop for Robinson's EMBA Students and Alumni.
February 25 - 28, 2008: John participated in Executive Career Coaching week at Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business. John met with MBA students who had requested guidance on such issues as: resume writing, job search strategies, interview coaching and career development planning.
February 2, 2008: John was the featured guest on WCFO's (1160-AM) new Career Connections radio program. Listeners were presented with the primary steps in the career transition process. They also had the opportunity to call the show to ask John specific questions relating to their career path.
November 9, 2007: John hosted a teleseminar on the topic of Career Transition for the Georgia State University Alumni Association.
September 17 - 21, 2007: John participated in Executive Career Coaching week at Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business. John was asked to meet with MBA students seeking guidance with specific career development topics.
